Best for heavier performance sedans for road trips
Tires used on rear of a C6 corvette Grand Sport that is heavily modified to 650 rear wheel HP. I was happy to find how comfortable these tires are on the road. I had to buy these in a hurry for an unplanned trip and it worked out great. These tires were softer than previous Hankook Ventus V12 tires, especially the sidewalls. At speed in wide sweeping corners, they would not set fully. I got a wiggly baby buggy feeling that makes you want to lift. They take too long and too much side travel before they hard set which makes you feel like you are on a slick wet or even icy surface. Not confidence inspiring. I never beat on them. No burn-outs or donuts. Got them near the limit and it was fine, but the trip there is a nail biter. Your reflexes want to lift or counter steer. You need to spend a lot of time acclimating to the behavior if you want to keep using them at the limit. I see why Drifters like these. With the throttle mashed and open room to flail, you could have lots of fun and learn to control the car in short order. The price point is unbeatable. For performance sedans, they would be best suited for comfy road trips and street abuse. Not your "at the limit" tire, however. 3/4 the performance at 1/2 the price compared to the top tiered brands.
