SimpleTire has been named a finalist in Tire Business magazine’s inaugural “Best Places to Work” in the tire industry. SimpleTire was one of six companies selected as finalists in the magazine’s inaugural best places to work survey and was selected for the honor based on the results of an employee survey administered by an independent research firm. The magazine will announce an overall winner at a later date.
SimpleTire ranked above the average in every survey category, including leadership and planning, corporate culture and communications, role satisfaction, work environment, relationship with supervisor, training, development and resources, pay and benefits and overall engagement.
“We’re thrilled to be recognized as one of the best places to work in the tire industry,” said SimpleTire CEO, Andy Chalofsky. “When we started SimpleTire seven years ago, our vision was to create a company that would offer people across the country the largest selection of tires at the best possible prices. We knew we’d have to assemble a team of great people to fulfill that vision, and that we’d have to develop a great work environment and culture to build that team."
“We’ve worked hard to do that by offering competitive salaries, excellent benefits and more, and by relying on core values that focus on customers, partnerships, innovation and driving change in the tire industry,” said Chalofsky. “Anonymous remarks from our employees in the top workplaces survey reflect that following our core values is paying dividends.”
Some of the comments from SimpleTire employees in the survey include:
- “SimpleTire allows all team members to express their ideas and processes. Some of the best innovations come from the team, not the executive staff. This is extremely empowering to myself and others in the company because it creates an environment where employees are eager to come up with solutions, learn problem-solving skills, and help improve the health of the company.”
- “It manages to handle the balance between still having the feel of a family-run company, but with the benefits of a larger corporation. It empowers employees to make decisions and provides every opportunity to grow and move up with the company.”
Chalofsky noted that the Tire Business Best Places to Work recognition comes on the heels of SimpleTire once again being named to Inc. Magazine’s list of the 5000 fastest-growing companies in America.
“These accolades are great, but we’re not resting on our laurels,” he said. “We’re looking for independent tire suppliers and installers across the U.S. who are interested in growing with us. And more people will soon discover what a great workplace SimpleTire offers because we’re adding positions in IT, sales, marketing, HR, and logistics.”
