However, can these tires offer the desired performance, and stability for your trailers? Let's take a look at a review of the Westlake ST100.

    Features and Benefits

Trailer tires are made especially to support the large loads that come with using trailers. They frequently include sturdier sidewall construction for increased stability when towing heavy loads. Designed for trailers, the Westlake ST 100 has several features to enhance durability and towing capabilities.

    • All-season traction: Westlake ST10 features an all-season tread pattern that boosts dry, wet, and light winter weather traction.
    • Boosted towing stability: The tire features two steel belts for increased strength, which contributes to puncture resistance and stable vehicle towing.
    • Increased fuel efficiency: Its low rolling resistance design improves fuel efficiency.
    • Reduced risk of hydroplaning: In order to prevent hydroplaning and increase wet grip, circumferential grooves remove water.
    • Enhanced durability: Westlake ST100 has a full nylon cap available for all sizes.
    • Puncture resistance: Tires with twin steel belts are stronger and more resistant to punctures.
    • Longer tread life: Made with the special Heat Less (using heat resistant compounding) technologies that help to slow down the tire aging and extend the tire life.

What have you concluded? Apart from its features and benefits, are there any disadvantages? Let's examine its pros and cons:

    • All-season tread compound offers year-round traction.
    • Twin steel belts to prevent tire puncture and to enhance towing.

I blew 2 of these tires in less than 1000 miles, both less than 2 years old load range E. Not heavily loaded, and properly aired up. Both shucked the tread off the carcass, one never even losing air. A friend's trailer did exactly the same, on recently purchased Westlakes from another source. Thanks for 2 ruined fenders and some welding of brackets.
