Pirelli is a renowned tire company that was established in Milan in 1872. Now, it is a well-recognized global brand for its cutting-edge technology, superior high-end production, and passion for innovation that heavily draws from its Italian heritage and racing expertise. It works tirelessly to create innovative, new products that will meet the highest standards for performance, safety, quietness, and adhesion to the road.
An ultra-high-performance touring tire, the Pirelli Cinturato P7 is designed for use on medium to high-powered vehicles. This tire provides excellent ride comfort and mileage in addition to strong performance on both dry and wet roads.
Read the SimpleTire review of the Cinturato P7 tires from Pirelli. Consider the tire's pros and cons before deciding if it is the best option for your car.
Features and Benefits
The Italian word "cintura," which means "metal belt," is where the name Pirelli Cinturato P7 originates. This is a reference to the metal belt that Pirelli tires have had since the company's founding in the 1950s. The Cinturato P7 tire from Pirelli is the company's first "Green Performance" tire and is designed to fully utilize the most modern materials, structures, and tread pattern design to ensure cost-effectiveness, environmental sensitivity, and comfort on all types of road surfaces.
Added to it, this tire is also available in a run flat edition and run-flat tires signify better driving. When driving in an emergency, they give you more control over the vehicle and let you keep going. The Pirelli Cinturato P7 is a good all-purpose tire that did well in tests conducted on the track in both dry and wet conditions. Overall, even when driven at high speeds, the tires have good traction, braking, and acceleration performance.
Furthermore, the Pirelli Cinturato P7’s tread compound, which is fairly soft, offers good traction. The Pirelli Noise Canceling System (PNCS) uses a sound-absorbing device that is attached to the inside circumferential wall of the tire to reduce noise inside the car by half. A new tire construction technique called Seal Inside prevents air pressure loss even after a tire punctures by an outside object, and it might help to cover potential accidental causes of pressure loss.
Drivers desire a tire that is long-lasting and provides a comfortable ride whether they are operating an Audi, BMW, or another performance vehicle. This tire has a cutting-edge rubber material that offers both drivers and passengers a comfortable ride. The Cinturato P7's compact central block and optimized tread pattern enable the tire to maintain its shape during quick turns while minimizing uneven wear. In addition, four wide grooves in the tread remove water to improve control during hydroplaning situations.
Pros and Cons
Should you choose Pirelli Cinturato P7 or should you look elsewhere? Before presenting our opinion at the end, let's first explore its advantages and disadvantages.
- The Cinturato P7 has an asymmetric tread pattern that provides sporty traction and handling on wet and dry roads.
- Strong acceleration and braking power
- Run Flat technology is available on some sizes of Pirelli Cinturato P7 tires.
- Pirelli's PNCS or Seal Inside technology is present in other Cinturato P7 size variations.
- Because of their optimized tread pattern and unique pitch sequencing, Pirelli Cinturato P7 tires are quiet, giving drivers and passengers a quiet and comfortable ride.
- For a lower risk of hydroplaning on wet roads, the tire has four wide grooves that drain water from the tire.
Pirelli makes a strong case for the Cinturato P7's performance, but some flaws might cause disagreement.
- Tread wears quickly
- Steering response and handling are adequate but not as precise as some comparable tires tested
- Not approved for use when temperatures are consistently below 45 degrees Fahrenheit

Tires are great.
We had three blowouts (two sidewalls - one tread cap separation) with these tires in 6 months/5000 miles.
I like these tires. I put them on all my cars. run flat system saves in all situations as on a highway and in a long trip. tires are more rigid, holds the road cool!
Customer service with Simpletire was exceptional even with the pandemic going on. They got back to me same day and everything was handled pro status
