  • Kenda Tires originated in Yanlin, Taiwan, and started as a bicycle tire manufacturer in 1962. The brand started offering a range of tires for motorcycles, scooters, and lawn and garden tires in the 1970s before introducing their first radial passenger car tire in 2001 after establishing Kenda USA in Columbus, OH. Currently, the manufacturer offers a variety of good-quality tires for passenger vehicles, light trucks, industrial vehicles, lawn & garden, ATV/UTV, golf carts, and trailers.

The Kenda Loadstar K399 is a trailer tire designed for use on motorcycle, camper, boat, and equipment trailers, and delivers great traction in dry, wet, or light winter weather conditions. In this Kenda Loadstar K399 review, we will take a look at some of the features and benefits of the tire, its pros and cons, and SimpleTire’s views on it.

    Features and Benefits

Trailer tires are designed for use on trailer applications and are durable, long-lasting, and offer great traction on paved roads. These vehicles generally carry heavy loads and require a set of tires that can maintain optimal shape and offer consistent traction and handling performance when driven for several miles in a single commute.

The Kenda Loadstar K399 features a bias construction, block tread pattern, flatter footprint, low rolling resistance design, and other tire elements, ensuring robust performance. Here are some of the noteworthy features and benefits of Kenda Loadstar K399.

    • Optimized design: The computer-designed tread features a bias ply construction that is tough and provides high durability, but looks like a radial.
    • Enhanced longevity: The advanced rubber compound offers longer tread wear with low rolling resistance.
    • Improved towing stability: The flatter tread profile provides increased towing stability.
    • Increased traction: The block tread pattern enhances the traction of the tire while ensuring reliable and consistent handling performance.
    • Better fuel efficiency: The flatter footprint and low rolling resistance design help improve the fuel efficiency of the tire.

The Kenda Loadstar K399 is available in different tire sizes, ranging from 8 to 10 inches.

    Pros and Cons

Now that we know more about the features and benefits of the Kenda Loadstar K399, let’s also take a look at some of the pros and cons of the tire.

I replaced these same tires as my old ones were 10 years old and all dry rotted and cracking. They still had tread on them, but I was afraid they would blow out on me. I have never had any problems with these tires, so that's why I bought the same tires again.

Just put these on double pwc trailer. Drove 800 miles in dry and wet conditions with no problems on Interstates or mountain roads. Good tires!

My biggest concern was that shipping would take a long time, but I was pleasantly surprised that they showed up within 2 days. I chose Simple Tire because the price and shipping options were good. 3 stars on everything because I can't speak to the quality of the tire. I was looking for this exact make and model of tire, Simple Tire was just the best source I could find. Very happy so far!
