  • Highway terrain tires are meant for cruising over miles on end, with comfort and low road noise being the highest priorities. The Crosswind H/T is one such all-season highway tire that’s suitable for SUVs, vans, and light trucks. This tire achieves superior grip in both dry and wet conditions and is also one amongst the affordable ones. However, it does not only provide a smooth ride on highways, but also on many other surfaces.

During the Crosswind H/T review, we found that this tire, although suitable for dry, wet, and winter conditions, should not be used in heavy snow. Although operating under Linglong Tires, the company does support exclusive North American operations.

    Features and Benefits

The Crosswind H/T is suitable for SUVs and light trucks that tow and haul heavy items over long distances. The tire features a five-rib slotted shoulder design for maximum ride comfort. You’ll find wide circumferential tread grooves that quickly remove water and prevent risks due to hydroplaning. Zigzag sipes on these tires are helpful in enhancing wet and snow traction. A symmetrical tread pattern leads to a high Crosswind H/T rating as it ensures low rolling resistance, low fuel consumption, and enhances tire lifespan. The tires not only perform well but they also look good.

    Pros and Cons

You can overlook the fact that Crosswind products are made by the Chinese manufacturer LingLong Tires by considering solid points such as low price and high fuel economy. It is a subsidiary tire brand of TBC Corporation in the USA and Canada. Purchasing these tires is an intelligent investment that leads to great traction for all seasons and driving styles.

    Pros

    • All-season tread makes it suitable use throughout the year
    • Backed by a 50,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty
    • Very stable on highways
    • Useful on rural roads
    • Suitable for basic off-road use
    • Enhances fuel efficiency

    Cons

    • Does not react quickly to steering inputs
    • T speed rating that may be low for some drivers

SimpleTire’s view on Crosswind H/T tires

The Crosswind H/T travels like a tourist tire by showing its versatility across surfaces. During the Crosswind H/T tire review, we found it to be less expensive in comparison to the GT Radial Savero HT2, Lancaster LS-07 H/T, and Maxxis Razr HT-780. It does not just boast of being quiet on highways but also has features such as the five-rib slotted shoulder design and an optimized tread pattern to prove the same. Dry traction is just as highly rated as wet traction on these tires, with the latter being possible due to wide circumferential grooves. We’re sure you’ll find very few highway terrain tires that offer a 50,000 mile warranty at the same price.

Vehicles the Crosswind H/T is a good replacement tire for

The Crosswind H/T is a suitable replacement tire for vehicles like RAM 1500, Ford F-350 Super Duty, Nissan Pathfinder, and Chevrolet Silverado 1500 HD. With these tires, you’ll see a new side to these trucks that make them comfortable for long distance tarmac.

I have not had the opportunity to test wet or winter traction and not enough miles to rate treadwear. They work well on dry highways and rural road on a class A motorhome.

Tires look and perform good. Tread is good for highway use and general offroad use getting to and from Hunting destinations. Well worth the price.

Great price for an LT tire that has a good tread warranty, smooth ride and very little roll. These are on my wife's Armada so I don't drive it much but this summer it will see some heavy use pulling the boat to various lakes...time will tell if the tires hold up.
