I put them on my 2013 Mustang GT and they hook well for a cheap tire and handles well in corners. Will buy again!

If you’re the kind of driver who likes to push the envelope a little and carve up twisty roads like a slot car, you know it’s about more than the car itself and your driving skills – you need a tire that’s capable and up to the job. Premium all-season tires can deliver great performance as far as braking, cornering, and steering response, but ultra-high-performance tires are what you really need for that extra edge of performance.
There are lots of UHP tire options on the market, including some very expensive ones, and the Atturo AZ850 is certainly a contender. It incorporates plenty of innovative performance-packed features for a tire that looks great and performs every bit as great as it looks. Don’t believe us? Let’s take a deeper dive with this Atturo AZ850 tire review:
Features and Benefits
As an ultra-high-performance tire, the AZ850 needs certain features that will allow it to perform at a high level.
- Softer, “stickier” tread formulation delivers strong braking and cornering capabilities
- Designed to resist heat buildup, which prevents uneven wear
- Two steel belts, jointless nylon cap ply, and high bead filler all contribute to high-speed stability
- Continuous center rib for straight-line stability along with quick steering response
- Asymmetric tread pattern with larger tread blocks toward shoulder for enhanced cornering ability
- Sipes, lateral grooves, and deep circumferential grooves channel water away to avoid hydroplaning and boost wet-weather traction
- Tread pitch is computer tuned for low road noise
- Great-looking low-profile design
Available in 18 to 22 inch sizes, the AZ850 comes with a V or Y speed rating and is backed by Atturo’s standard 3 year limited warranty.
Pros and Cons
Like many Atturo tires, the AZ850 has more strengths than weaknesses:
PROS:
- Good wet-weather and dry-weather traction
- Sharp, responsive handling, braking, and cornering performance
- Available in a wide range of sizes for various fitments
- Looks great on a variety of vehicles
That being said, the tire does have some drawbacks:
CONS:
- Cannot be used when temperatures are consistently below 45 degrees Fahrenheit
- Could be quieter
- No tread life warranty
SimpleTire’s view on Atturo AZ850 tires
There are so many options out there when it comes to UHP tires. The tires from top-tier manufacturers might deliver great performance, but they also tend to be pretty expensive. The Atturo AZ850 is a tire that comes across with the same strong handling, cornering, braking and steering response, but at a surprisingly low price point. It features an advanced tread compound and its rigid design helps with overall handling ability. The Atturo AZ850 doesn’t have a tread life warranty but it is covered by the manufacturer’s 3-year limited warranty against defects in manufacturing and workmanship.
It’s worth noting here that the Atturo AZ850 is categorized as an ultra-high-performance tire. The softer, stickier tread formulation of many UHP tires is designed for superb traction, but it will harden and lose grip in colder weather. This means tires like the Atturo AZ850 shouldn’t be used if temperatures are consistently below 45 degrees Fahrenheit.
Vehicles the Atturo AZ850 is a good replacement tire for
While not used as original equipment on any vehicles, the tire is a great replacement option for many of today’s most powerful CUVs, SUVs, and light trucks. If you drive an Acura MDX, BMW X5, Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Avalanche, Dodge Dakota, Ford Ranger, GMC Yukon, Infiniti QX4, Jeep Liberty, Lincoln Navigator, Nissan Frontier, Toyota 4Runner, or Volkswagen Touareg, then this is a tire you might want to consider.

Best tire for performance and price. Had my truck up to 140mph with no issues.
Have a 2016 camry with 20 inch niche millans was running 225/30/20 nitto tires they looked good but ride quality sucked. Steped up in size to these in 235/40/20 inch tires not expecting much. I was wrong its like im driving a new car we just had snow and ice but i was out there door dashing through all of it quite impressed.
Great tires for the price. These are half the cost of what the factory tires were and in my opinion just as good. I will definitely use Simple tire for any tires I use in the future. Great price and convenience.
Much better grip all around than stock tires.
Second set I e bought The fronts wore to the cord in less than a year
I currently run the AZ 850 tire set on my classic 1969 Chevy pickup. The tread design looks good with a high performance design. The side wall stance is clean and looks sharp. I have put about a thousand mile of summer driving on these tire and they have low to zero road noise, plus they grip the road really nice. What really impressed me was how well they balanced on my wheel selection virtually requiring no lead weights. The price is very reasonable compared to other tire manufactures on the market of the same design. For my project this was the perfect purchase for me.
Replaced my Pirellis with these tires. Cayenne GTS. The vehicle eats tires and gas. So, these tires are excellent and a lot less money. This is my second set.
Love the new tires and how easy it was to order online and have shipped to my local auto shop for installation. Def would recommend and use again! Thank you!
Still relatively new; have had on for about a month. Dry -- can feel there is little more give in quick turns then my previous ones (Continental Extreme Contact Sports). Can feel tires are little softer. Good grip and still feel confidence in fast 'fun' turns compared to priors. Purchased per recommendation and so far I plan on buying these again for sure. Would recommend especially if looking for a more budget friendly tire.
