Atturo tires are an American tire brand that’s manufactured at Federal Corp. factories in Thailand and Taiwan. Known as Atturo Tire Corporation, it was started by Don Mathis and was meant to offer enthusiasts tires that performed well and were affordable enough to buy.
The Atturo AW730 is a studdable winter tire used by sedans, coupes, SUVs, minivans, and CUVs. Find out how suitable these tires are for your vehicle through this Atturo AW730 review.
Features and Benefits
The AW730 is a winter tire that’s designed to be consistently used only at temperatures below 45 degrees Fahrenheit. If you intend to use studs, remember to confirm with your local laws if studs are allowed or not. Atturo is relatively new in the tire industry (available since 2009), but is rapidly gaining recognition due to great products such as this. A high Atturo AW730 rating is possible due to the following features and benefits:
- Can be pinned with studs for extra traction- Get maximum traction in severe winter conditions, including snow, ice, and slush by pinning this tire with studs (where permitted).
- Better grip- Wavy sipes on this tire bite into slushy, icy, and snowy roads for continuous grip and the directional tread pattern improves traction. A silica-based tread compound is also helpful in enhancing grip.
- Consistent in the wet weather- Atturo AW730 tires feature wide circumferential grooves for preventing hydroplaning and thereby increasing performance in wet conditions.
- Less noise- The directional tread pattern decreases noise and vibrations for a stress-free and comfortable drive.
- Good speed- Despite being winter tires, these are available with a speed rating of H, enabling people to drive fairly fast.
Pros and Cons
Winter can be fairly long, extending up to more than 3-4 months in several parts of America. Since mobility is of the essence, it is necessary to install tires that provide good grip and performance while being affordable, and that’s where Atturo AW730 comes in.
Pros
- Comfortable and quiet
- Great dry and wet traction
- Good grip
- Available with or without studs for moderate to severe winter conditions
- Wide channels that easily remove snow
- Long wear
Unfortunately, no tire is perfect and that’s true of the AW730 too:
Cons
- Not suitable for use in temperatures above 45 degrees Fahrenheit
- Does not have a limited manufacturer warranty
SimpleTire’s view on Atturo AW730 tires
Wide grooves on the Atturo AW730 tires do not just prevent hydroplaning, they also help plough through slush and slow. Despite being a relatively newer brand, Atturo is making rapid strides with great-quality tires, including this one. Wave-shaped sipes are present all over the tire, helping increase traction in slushy, icy, and snowy conditions. Further, a directional tread pattern is also useful for removing snow and ice while retaining a stylish look. During the Atturo AW730 tire review process, we experienced minimum vibrations.
Vehicles Atturo AW730 is a good replacement tire for
Various features on Atturo AW730 tires are available for enhancing grip in the winter. At the same time, the removal of water from the tread is also equally important, which is why there are wide grooves here. Consider the following vehicles for installing AW730 as replacement tires:
- Chevrolet Equinox
- Dodge Challenger
- Alfa Romeo Stelvio
- Honda Odyssey
- Audi Q7
- Ford Escape

Great on ice and snow. BUT they are INCREDIBLY loud once you go past 40mph. Even with my music turned up loud i can STILL hear them! Pretty unhappy. They are SO loud.
Great snow tire and even better price for them
Best winter tires. Period. I have studded Nokians on the other car. I don't really notice a difference on ice and snow, and these are way better and quieter in dry conditions and high speed. Alfa Romeo Stelvio
These tires do exactly as advertised. Excellent in all weather conditions including snow. Let me emphasize especially in snow.
SimpleTire is great. I recently bought tires from them online. I was able to save about $150. I will use them in the future for all of my tire needs. I highly recommend.
I bought these tires for my 2011 Audi Q7. We get almost 300 inches of snow a winter, so winter tires are a must. I've owned several different brands of snow tires in the past and I have to say that these tires hold their own and exceed other name brands. They are not loud and grip amazingly on snow covered roads. They have even done exceptionally well on icy snowy two-track roads. I would by again.
So far so good. Good in the wet. Haven't seen snow yet. Not noticeably louder than previous all season tires. Cannot comment on the treadwear yet. Overall very good considering their cost.
My wife loves them on her Escape. No hydroplaning and little noise. Should great on ice and snow, haven't had much yet.
Federal Tires manufactures Atturo tires in Taiwan and this tread pattern was one of Federal's old designs (Himalaya Inverno) that appears to have been rebadged with Atturo's name. I bought a set of studded invernos at Les Schwab in 2015. Is is now 2020 and the tread is still in fantastic shape. I have never had an issue with the tires and always felt very confident on the road. I believe it to be a solid choice if you need to save some cash versus the bigger brands.
